It was a fun afternoon dive today, with lots of findings at one of our local house reefs: New Life 3.30pm

After our descend, Jon lead the group and slowly worked our way to finding the “rock”… We were on a mission, to spot a frogfish that Sally saw (or might have) on her previous dive.

Finning away, we first found a dwarf scorpionfish, photo taking session by the guests begins…

As I took my time being the last one in line to shoot, Jon thinged on his tank and signalled two more scorpionfishes. Went over and realised that they were very close together.

We continued on and finally reached the “rock”. Jon signalled 2x leaf fishes. When it was my turn to shoot, I found out there were a total of 3 white leaf fishes. “Wow, nice day”

Jon came up to me this time and waved, getting my attention, he pointed to the inside of a small cave and found:

Two-eyed Lionfish (Twospot Turkeyfish)

Two-eyed Lionfish (Twospot Turkeyfish)

Now this is lucky, Two-eyed lionfishes usually only appear during the night.

We then slowly took our turns searching for life on the rock and found the following:

Rock Shrimp

Busy snapping away, Jon thinged:

Now, that really made our day.

We worked our way up for safety stop and found the following as well:

I have not felt so trigger happy since Pit Rock.

ps. Sally: We did not find the frogfish… tried hard enough and gotten ourselves into fire corals.
