For those who are curious about diving or those who maybe have not dived for some time, our experienced and caring Instructors can offer a variety of courses from Discover Scuba Diving through to Dive Master. This will open a whole new world to you, exploring colourful underwater reefs and seeing sea life up close for the first time.

At Pom Pom Island Resort you can now learn with PADI eLearning online which means when you arrive here, you are ready to get started in the water straight away! This will give you:

Unlimited and unrestricted access to an online version of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual
The ability to complete knowledge assessments at your own pace

While you’re working through the PADI Open Water Diver course online or after you complete all the segments, you can print your eLearning Record and bring it in to start your underwater adventures.

DISCOVERY SCUBA DIVER

This is the first step towards becoming a PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver. You complete the first PADI lesson underwater and then you have a dive under the supervision of your instructor who will be with you all the time. All the equipment and tuition is included. This dive takes place at Pom Pom Island although for an extra MYR 50, you can go to another island for your experience, choosing either Mantabuan or Timba Timba (Subject to availability).

1st lesson & 1 open water dive
Included: full equipment

PADI SCUBA DIVER

This will qualify you as a Scuba Diver who can dive to 12 metres. You can use this certificate in the future and be able to dive under the supervision of a Dive Master or Instructor, when you are ready, you can complete the final part of the course and become qualified as a full Open Water Diver at any PADI Dive Centre. This course is suitable for people who maybe restricted by time scale but want to be qualified to dive asap.

3 lessons and 2 open water
Included: Manual Book ,PIC (certification card) and full equipment

Max Depth: 12metres

LAST SECTION OF THE OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE

This is the final section of the PADI Scuba Diver course which will bring you up to a full Open Water Diver who can dive to 18 metres with a buddy, and without supervision of a Dive Master or Instructor. This can be done once the PADI Scuba Diver has been completed fully.

2 lessons and 2 open water dives to complete the Open Water Diver Course
Included: PIC (Certification card) and full equipment

OPEN WATER DIVER

This is the standard PADI Open Water Diver Course, which trains and qualifies you to dive with a buddy to 18 metres without supervision of a Dive Master or Instructor. You will learn how to plan your dives and all the skills necessary to be certified.

Certification 18 metres deep
5 lessons and 4 open water dives
Included: Manual Book, PIC (certification card) and full equipment

ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE

A fun filled course with many different diving experiences to expand your knowledge of diving and to make you more proficient in the water. There are many options to choose from but you must complete a Deep Dive and a Navigation dive to obtain your full certificate.

Certification to 30 metres deep
5 dives including deep and underwater navigation dive
Included: Manual Book, PIC (certification card) and full equipment

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

This course is not a water based course, but instead is a first aid course. You need to take this before starting the Rescue Diver course. It will teach you basic first aid and emergency procedures, both for land based and water based accidents or injuries.

Course duration: 1 day

RESCUE DIVER

Probably one of the most rewarding courses you can undertake as a diver. It is normally a 3 day course involving self-rescue and buddy rescue, in water exercises, diver scenarios and problem-solving. A very active course, and although a serious subject, still lots of fun.
