At Pom Pom Island Resort last night, we had a big celebration to welcome in 2011. We have some extra activities for our guests, the favourite being the treasure hunt!! This was a map and lots of questions about Pom Pom Island. We had several teams taking place, running around looking for clues. Our winners for this year was the Adams Family, so well done to them, prizes issued included wine, caps and ice-cream.

In the evening we started off with a cocktail evening on the beach with special treats by Mitri to nibble on, celebration masks were issued making it hard to see who was who! We then had a beach BBQ with roast lamb, kebabs and many other treats. When we had finished the staff sang some Christmas Carols and then we had some very good local dancing. Our staff had practised very hard for this, and I think that our guests really enjoyed their efforts.
After this we had a disco, with salsa, Mario and Alessandra showing off their dancing skills. Raimond also showed that he had the moves on the dance floor. At 12.00 midnight, the staff had a torch light procession to the beach, at the sea, we had a large 2010 sign in flames that changed into 2011 as the clocks changed over, very effective under the moonlight.
A little more dancing continued after this, with everyone joining in.
